A pair of of Steve Jones' owned/worn and handsigned camouflage stage-pants, together with a Sex Pistols - Filthy Lucre record company promo b/w photograph signed Johnny Rotten, Paul Cook, Steve Jones and Glen Matlock all in black marker pen, archivally framed and glazed under Plexiglas. Also included is a stage-used Filthy Lucre/Reunion Tour set list and a ticket stub from the Sex Pistols at the Universal Amphitheater, Los Angeles, Aug 1996. (4) Various sizes. LOT 6202/3 Two original sections of sound proofing from the historic Abbey Road Studios
What a fantastic opportunity to own a piece of the most famous recording studio in the world - Studio Two, Abbey Road Studios, London. These distinctive pieces of sound proofing (or 'Baffle') covered the walls of the control room of Studio Two from it's inception to their removal for refurbishment in 1983 and are clearly visible in photographs of the studio from this time - if these walls could talk! LOT 6206/1 Mick Jagger's 'Hung On You' jacket, circa 1967
A fantastic close-fitting red satin five-button jacket with repeat - pattern of pagodas, oriental ladies, flamboyant flowers and other oriental motifs, lined inside with navy and white ribbon-patterned fabric and Hung On You a Londres [of London] label on the inside.
This jacket was given to the son of Jack Dyer, Keith Richard's gardener at his country home, Redlands. Jack was immortalised by Richards and Jagger in the song Jumpin' Jack Flash, the story goes that the pair wrote the song after being woken up one morning at Redlands by the sound of a man walking past the window. When Jagger asked who the man was, Richards responded Oh, that's Jack, that's jumpin' Jack, and the song grew from there.
Jack's wife Doris also worked there as housekeeper. Jack's son (understandably) spent a lot of time at Redland's and when he was about fifteen spotted this jacket and admired it - his mother later mentioned this to Mick and he replied Take it, he can have it. It's been in his possession ever since. The jacket is typical of the style favoured by Jagger and his contemporaries (including Jimi Hendrix) at the time. Jagger is photographed in an almost identical Hung On You jacket, but in ivory silk, with similar oriental decoration which he wore during the Stones European Tour in Spring, 1967. An original first printing flyer for Jefferson Airplane at the University of Pennsylvania November 1969 together with a Christmas card dated 1978 from Grace Slick's husband Skip referring to her drink problem (Skip was Jefferson Starship's Lighting Director) and two Jefferson Starship company envelopes.
